Let There Be Peace On Earth

be-kindWalking through the snow this morning the air was crisp and pure.  There was serenity about me as the snow frost glistened on each pine needle.  We hear the phrase and even a song “Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.”  It is  so true, it has to start with us.  Ephesians 4:31 says ” Let all bitterness and wrath, and anger, and clamour and evil speaking be put away from you, with all  malice.”  Then  the scripture  goes on to  say “Be ye kind to  one another,  tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even  as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”  There can be peace, but it does have to start right in our heart.  We have to be kind, tenderhearted & forgiving. It is  a big order but as Christians we must try our very best to take on the nature of Christ let serenity surround you, like the frost on the pine needles.  Be immersed in the  Love of Jesus this Christmas and forever.  He should be our  example.  What would Jesus Do?

Lights

kino-bay-christmasChristmas is the holiday of lights.  Lit trees in almost every home, houses lit with hundreds and thousands of lights.  City streets and malls lit for Christmas as well.  It must be a sight from our satellite’s in space.  We all love the beauty and the celebration that Christmas brings.  I for years have looked through the lens with the Lord and the lights to me are a reminder that we are the Light of the world if we have given our lives to the Lord.  We are His and we should always let our  lights shine, so that  others may see our good works and give glory to our Father which is in Heaven.  Shine all of the time!  I recently met a man while having my Chemo treatment.  A very sweet man.  We were in recliners side by side hooked up to our I.V.’s.  We of course discussed our cancer, and both shared that we were stage 4 terminal.  In our conversation he asked me if I ever felt sad?  I said of course its a feeling that I fight.  He asked,” how do you fight it”.  I  then told Him that,  scripture says, God will not give us more than we can take.  He must know that I can take it.  So I am trying to be the best at having cancer that I can be to give Glory to God because he is taking care of me and holding me on this journey. ” Corinthians 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able.”  For me the temptation is to give in to fear and sadness.  The scripture goes on to say, “but with the temptation, He will make a way of escape , that we may be able to bear it.”   And He does!! So I let my light shine and be the best I can be with His help to walk through this cancer.  My new friend was blessed, and found a new way to think of his temptation of sadness.  I pray that He has found the way of escape that we are promised.  Always let your light shine, we are to go into those dark places and light things up with our countenance, Gods word, our word, our joy and hope.

This photo was taken on the Sea of Cortez in Kino Bay, Mexico.  My Dad was retired there for many years.

The Lion and The Lamb

lion-and-lambThis scripture , is one of  my favorites because I love Gods creation of the animals.  They are so  beautiful!  So much to look  forward to when we follow the Lord it into eternity.  This is a picture of ultimate peace.  I have always said when the animals are peaceful, I want to hug a tiger or a lion.  They are such majestic animals.  Yes one day the animals big and small will be peaceful, they will not hurt or destroy.  The Earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord.  The Lion will lie down with the Lamb as depicted in this picture.   I also see it as a picture of Jesus the Lion of Judah and we the Sheep.  My Husband bought me this beautiful art piece for Christmas a few years back.  May the Peace and Knowledge of the Lord fill you this Christmas, and for the rest of your life!

Christmas is just 10 days away.  I love Christmas and all the joy it brings us.  It is a time to adore Jesus and focus on all he came to do for us .  When we know Him we can’t help but adore Him. sons-of-godWe will adore Him for eternity, because he came to give us eternal life, if we just believe.

Oh come let us Adore Him, Christ the Lord!!
